Who we are
Overload Hockey is operated by Torro Media, LLC (“Torro Media”, “we”, “us”). Torro Media, LLC is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice — meaning we decide how and why your data is processed.
What we collect
We collect the information you give us directly — your name and email address when you contact us or create an account, your login credentials, support messages you send us, and content you create in your Locker Room (drills, systems, practice plans, notes, and shot tracking data). We also collect basic usage and device data (pages visited, features used, browser and device type, and IP address) that tells us which lessons are useful and keeps the platform secure.
How we use it and our legal basis
We use your information to create and run your account, deliver and improve the content library and Locker Room tools, respond to your messages, keep the platform secure and prevent fraud, and send updates you have asked for. We do this because it is necessary to perform our contract with you (providing the service you signed up for), because we have a legitimate interest in improving and securing the platform, and, where required, based on your consent. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share personal information with a small set of recipients, only as needed: service providers that host and operate the platform (cloud hosting, analytics, and support tooling); professional advisers (legal and accounting) where necessary; and authorities where required by law. Payments are handled by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle — when you make a purchase, Paddle collects and processes your billing and payment information to complete the transaction, manage your subscription, handle tax compliance and invoicing. We do not receive or store your card details.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information and saved content for as long as your account is active. If you delete content or close your account, it is removed from active systems and then from backups on a rolling schedule. Support messages and transaction records are kept for as long as needed to provide support and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
How we protect it
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls that limit who can view personal data, and row-level isolation so one team’s content is not visible to another. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices regularly.
Accounts and saved content
Your saved lessons, plans, and plays belong to you. You can delete them, or your whole account, at any time. When you delete your account, your personal information and content are deleted or anonymised, except where we must keep records by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the contact page and we will respond directly. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (such as your active team), and basic analytics to understand which content is useful. You can control cookies through your browser settings; essential cookies are required for sign-in to work.
Children's privacy
Overload Hockey is written for players, coaches, and parents. Accounts for players under 13 should be created and managed by a parent or guardian, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without a parent or guardian.
